The "hit and run" strategy is a good idea when you are opposing an opponent with a lot of firepower. This strategy is often used against ships with a high amount of firepower. But, this hit and run strategy is essentially useless if you cannot follow up. You have to be able to dodge the bullets as well as run from them. Often it is necessary to use RCS(See post about RCS in Winning Tools) in this sequence of movements. RCS would help you dodge bullets much easier and give you enough time to land a hit on the opponent. In most scenarios, this strategy would be much easier to use if you have a ship with a nice amount of firepower. Any tier 2, Crusader, Shadow X-2, T-Warrior, or H-Mercury would not suit this technique. This requires skill, patience and speed.
